Patrick Roddy is Vice President of Network Operations for CBN overseeing cutting edge innovations in program production and distribution so that content can be available at the moment of need-any time, any place, any screen.
Mr. Roddy's commitment to harnessing television and all media to help children and equip parents began at ABC News where he was Executive Producer of ABC's #1 rated Good Morning America News, and Creator and Executive Producer of ABC's groundbreaking Answering Children's Questions Specials hosted by Peter Jennings. This series of live interactive National Town Meetings tackled issues of War, Prejudice, AIDS, Violence and two landmark visits to the White House with President Bill Clinton.
Along the way Patrick won two rare distinctions for a network news journalist... the Columbia DuPont Award for 'War in the Gulf; Answering Children's Questions' special and Parent Magazine's 'Put Children First' Award because he uses television to teach. He is also the winner of two National Emmy Awards for Best Morning News Program and for ABC News' live coverage of the Gulf War.
Since leaving the world of network news, Mr. Roddy has written and produced Documentaries for PBS and CBS News and helped create MagRack, the first Digital Cable Video on Demand programming service.
