WASHINGTON, DC (November 10, 2025) – Enough Is Enough® (EIE) said that the latest lawsuit against Roblox filed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton must compel the platform to make immediate changes to prevent predators from accessing children. This lawsuit was filed against Roblox “for flagrantly ignoring state and federal online safety laws while deceiving parents about the dangers of its platform.”
Roblox is currently facing over 35 lawsuits, according to ABC News, and in one of those lawsuits, a judge recently “denied the company’s attempt to force the dispute into a private resolution process,” enabling the suit against the company for sexual exploitation of a child to continue publicly.
“Roblox is rightly facing lawsuits for failing to protect children on its platform – nearly unbelievable for a platform whose audience is extremely popular with and comprised of children and trusted by parents. Roblox needs to proactively end the sexual exploitation of children on its platform. Will Roblox act to enhance protections? Will it finally solve its predator problem? If the safety and innocence of children does not compel the decision makers at Roblox to do the right thing, Lord willing, the lawsuits will,” said Donna Rice Hughes, President and CEO, Enough Is Enough®.
“We applaud AG Paxton for filing this lawsuit on behalf of children who have been sexually exploited and harmed. In spite of the ongoing harms, Roblox claims to be safe for kids, but clearly children are still being sought out by predators.”
Just last week, a Guardian journalist reported that she spent time on Roblox logged in as a child and her avatar was “cyberbullied, aggressively killed, and sexually assaulted” while parental controls were in place. Hindenburg Research reported that its “in-game research revealed an X-rated pedophile hellscape, exposing children to grooming, pornography, violent content and extremely abusive speech.”
“It should not take courageous elected leaders and survivors seeking justice for the suffering caused by Roblox for the company to thoroughly review and make the necessary changes to stop sexual exploitation on its platform. Roblox needs to act fast. Congress also needs to act to hold companies like Roblox that prioritize profit over child safety accountable. Congress can do that by passing the Kids Online Safety Act to make explicit a legal ‘duty of care’ obligation to prevent harms to minors, require the strongest safety settings for youth and guardians and establish a transparency standard for data collection. In the meantime, parents and grandparents beware, Roblox is currently not a safe platform for the children in your lives,” said Hughes.
