North Dallas Gazette: EIE Calls on Roblox to Increase Child Safety Following Texas Lawsuit
Enough Is Enough® (EIE) said the Texas lawsuit against Roblox must force immediate child safety improvements. The lawsuit, filed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, claims Roblox “flagrantly ignored state and federal online safety laws while deceiving parents.”
Currently, Roblox faces over 35 lawsuits, according to ABC News. In one case, a judge denied Roblox’s request for private arbitration. This allows the public lawsuit over child sexual exploitation to continue.
Donna Rice Hughes, EIE President and CEO, stated, “Roblox is rightly facing lawsuits for failing to protect children on its platform. Will Roblox act to end sexual exploitation? If not, the lawsuits will compel action.”
