School Resource Officer Internet Safety 101® Training Event (Chesterfield, VA)
 

 

Enough Is Enough® (EIE) President Donna Rice Hughes will be leading current and future School Resource Officers (SROs) and School Administrators through EIE's award-winning Internet Safety 101®SM curriculum. SROs will learn how to utilize the 101 curriculum to facilitate and lead high-impact Internet safety training programs in their school communities.  EIE Representative and former Administrator with the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, U.S. Department of Justice will also be educating SROs in Virginia state law with regards to Internet safety and online dangers.

General Information 

The Virginia Center for School Safety at the Department of Criminal Justice Services will be conducting School Resource Officer (SRO) Basic Training and School Security Officer (SSO) Certification Training on February 7-10, 2011 in Chesterfield, VA. This instruction is geared toward school safety, school law, and in particular, the functions of School Resource Officers and School Security Officers in a school environment. Through this training approach, SROs and SSOs will gain insight into and recognition of their positions within the school environment. In addition, this training will provide an excellent opportunity for school administrators to gain comprehensive information on the safeguards within their schools.
