Statement: Donna Rice Hughes to Join in Ringing of Liberty bell at Grand Opening of Bible Museum

Mom's March Launches Nationwide Ringing of Bells at Historic Grand Opening of Bible Museum

On Friday, November 17th, the Museum of the Bible opens its doors in Washington D.C.!

I am honored beyond words to join other moms from the Mom’s March for America, held this past September, for the national Ringing of Bells to celebrate this grand opening of the museum. I will join Candy Carson (wife of Dr. Ben Carson), Martha Boneta (President, Freedom Network America) and Francoise Djoukeng (representing HomeMakers for America) as we ring the 3,200 pound exact replica of the Liberty Bell on 11/17 at 11:17 a.m. to share the message “Let Freedom Ring!”

I had the pleasure of joining these women in September during the national gathering of the Mom’s March for America in Omaha, Nebraska, organized by HomeMakers for America, as we came together for the sake of our nation, our families and our liberties. Our movement continues with a nation-wide ringing of bells calling on churches throughout Washington D.C. and across the nation to join us by ringing their bells at 11:17 a.m. Eastern Time. We invite mothers and grandmothers and Americans all over the country to tune in to the Facebook Live event from the Museum of the Bible and ring a bell with their children.

It is truly an honor to stand with these great women once again to mark this time in history as we rise up as a nation and focus on what unites us, rather on what divides us. This occasion represents yet another opportunity to stand together behind our shared commitment to children, family, freedom and country, and against the forces which threaten these God given blessings.

For the sake of children and families across this great country, may we continue to stand upon the great foundations for which this country was built upon, our Constitution and the eternal and living Word of God. I encourage my fellow Americans to actively pursue an attitude of kindness and a culture of human dignity that has made this nation strong even in the most turbulent of times in our history. Let us build bridges of reconciliation and work through our differences with mutual respect. Let us always take the High Road. In the words of Jesus, let us pursue the greatest commandment to love others as He first loved us. Let Freedom Ring!
